Goldeck – places to stay by the cable car and by the lake
A practical base for a ski holiday is Spittal an der Drau and its surroundings. You can also stay in the villages around Lake Millstatt and combine time in the mountains with a visit to the lake. When choosing accommodation, it is worth checking the distance to the valley station of the cable car or whether a ski bus is available.
Local cuisine
Between runs, take a break at the Seehütte Goldeck by the top station of the cable car, which focuses on regional cooking. For a meal with a panoramic view, head to the Goldalm restaurant near the summit. Among the Carinthian specialities, try for example the filled pasta parcels known as Kärntner Kasnudeln.
