The main activities in the area include skiing, hiking and cycling. In summer there are many hiking trails with beautiful views of the Alpine landscape and many cycling routes.
Another attraction in the area is a visit to the Rieseneishöhle and Mummuthöhle, where guests can explore underground ice caves and admire beautiful stalactites. Nearby there are also beautiful lakes such as Gosausee and Hallstätter See.
For culture lovers there are many historical monuments, including the picturesque town of Hallstatt, which is inscribed on the list of world UNESCO heritage. Here guests can see the ancient salt mines and visit local museums and galleries.

The house stands in a quiet yet central spot in Gosau, right next to the church. Grocery shops, a bank, a public indoor pool and other shops are within 400 m.
To the bus stop for Hallstatt or Gosausee approx. 200 m, to Gosausee and the Gosaukammbahn approx. 4 km.
Open-air museum, geo-museum, the "Urzeitwald" adventure park for children, the Gosau road train, a ride with the Gosaukammbahn up to Zwieselalm from mid-May to the end of October. Easy family hiking trails in the area around Gosausee, or to the natural gem Löckermoos, demanding high-alpine tours - e.g. the Gosau ridge. A network of mountain-bike routes, swimming in Gosausee (4 km), water and adventure park in Russbach (6 km). Public indoor pool with sauna and solarium in the centre of Gosau. Hallstatt 15 km, the Dachstein cave world in Obertraun (giant ice cave + Mammoth cave) 22 km.
