Reporting traffic accidents
Traffic accidents in which people have been injured must be reported to the police or the gendarmerie without delay; in the case of material damage only if identity has not been proven on both sides.
Vehicle breakdowns
The ÖAMTC and ARBÖ motoring clubs run a round-the-clock breakdown service that any driver can call on. Drivers who are not members of these or similar organisations can use their services for a fee.
